KTM 490 SOON! LAUNCH DATE REVEAL
KTM is expected to launch their new 490 series soon.The design is same as that of 390 series with some changes in the headlight, colour scheme, petrol tank and taillight.The lightweight steel Trellis frame will carry the engine,overall it's expected to be same as the 390series.
Features and Safety
ENGINE:
Both the Duke and the RC will be having the same engine.The fuel injected 490cc parallel twin cylinder with liquid cooling ,8-valve DOHC (Dual Overhead camshafts) unit.The engine will be capable of producing about 60ps power and a torque of about 48nm.The engine will be mated to a 6 speed gear box with bidirectional quick shifter.
CHASSIS
The KTM 490 will have the lightweight steel Trellis frame,makes a nice bending it has maximum precision and maneuverability.
SUSPENSION
The KTM 490 will comes with ultralight weight upside down WP (Win Peters) forks.Thrse are easy to maintain and performs well.
WHEELS
Ultra light,stable expecting the same as 390 where 110mm wide at the front and 150mm at the rear.
BRAKES
A high tech BYBRE braking system with advanced dual ABS makes the controlled stopping on high powers.Dual circuit BOSCH ABS is used to enhance safety for KTM riders.
