BS6 HIMALAYAN REVIEW :PROS AND CONS

The all new bs6 Himalayan comes with refined engine and terrain-tested suspension.
The Himalayan is  powered by 411cc engine with a  5 speed gearbox.The engine is capable of producing a power of 24.5 bhp @ 6500 rpm and a torque of 32 nm @ 4500 rpm.It gets dual disc brakes with switchable ABS.The bike engine consist of single cylinder with SOHC Fuel injection technology.The ground clearance is about 220mm and the bike weights approximately 200kg with 15 litres of fuel capacity.

The new Himalayan comes with a switchable ABS.This helps the user to turn of the ABS during the off-road.

     One of the most strongest point is its seat,it comes with 800mm seat height.

∆PROS
1.PUNCHY ENGINE 
               
 Bs6 compliant engine has lost some powers but it gains more refinement than bs4. The power delivery now become more linear, the low and mid range is awesome,thus making it more comfortable to ride in city and extreme off roads.Taller gear ratios makes it ideal for highways.

2)TOURING NATURE 
    
   It is one of the most excellent adventure tourer available in India under 2.5lacs and it's 15litre tank capacity make its more comfortable during long trips.It can cruise at a speed of 100kmph for the whole drive.It comes with tail racket as a standard which make it luggage friendly bike too.

3) OFF-ROADING ABILITY
   It is one of the most versatile bike available in market now which can do both off-road and on road to extreme and switchable ABS makes more fun to ride.

4) RIDING COMFORT
   The strongest point of Himalayan is its seating position which is cushioned perfectly for people to do long rides 
The upright handle bar make the rider to ride more comfortable and make handling more easier. The upright and the handle bar is wider and make it more easy to handle

∆CONS∆
1.NO MODERN FEATURES
 One of the most negative of the Himalayan which lack modern features like Bluetooth connectivity and much more like fully digital instrument console
The fuel gauge is not accurate 
The headlights in Himalayan  have halogen bulbs,apparently all others have led bulbs

2.Braking 
The another major negative of the bs6 Himalayan is the braking
It have dual channel abs,still the braking is not enough for this power

3.Weight
The weight management of the bs6 Himalayan is much heavier than bs4 there is an increase of almost 8 kg and it make some more difficult for people to handle.
